MY BACKGROUND
I’ve worked and lived in Fremont County for over four decades and my husband, John Gans and I have raised our 3 kids here in the beautiful Lander area.
I’ve worked professionally in the nonprofit sector managing staff and program delivery and as executive director, meeting payrolls and budgets. Raising kids shifted my focus to part-time consulting, which I continue presently. I’ve had a variety of clients as wide-ranging as the Shoshone and Arapaho Tribes, the Wyoming Association of Churches, the Nature Conservancy and the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Business Alliance. I’ve served on the Lander School Board and also as a Fremont County Commissioner in the past. I have extensive experience as a lobbyist at the State Legislature and have served as a volunteer and board member with many charitable organizations.
I love adventuring with family and friends on our treasured public lands.
In my youth, I had a myriad of jobs including waitressing, teaching 8th grade and high school science, working with disadvantaged youth, and also as a wilderness instructor with the National Outdoor Leadership School in the Rocky Mountains, Alaska, Mexico and Kenya.
